I lost my registration code. How do I find it?

If you lost your Registration Code, you have a few options:
Find your Existing Registration Code
Generate a New Code (Reset Your Registration Code)

Find your Existing Registration Code

You can find your existing Registration Code by following these instructions: Find my Registration Code.

Generate a New Code (Reset Your Registration Code)

If your computer dies, is stolen, or you cannot find your code, you can generate a new code.

Important Note: This will invalidate your current Registration Code and you will no longer be able to do Send/Receive. You will need to enter your new code for Send/Receive to work again.

To generate a new code:

  1. Log in to registry.paratext.org
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner (1).
    1. Click Registration (2):
  3. Click the Generate button:
    Click Generate
  4. Click copy to copy the new code:
    Click Copy
    1. The new code will also be sent to you by email.
  5. For each device where you use Paratext, copy/paste the new code into Paratext:
    1. Paratext 9: Go to the Paratext menu > Help > Registration Information.
    2. Paratext 8: Go to Tools > Registration Information.
    3. Paratext Lite: Go to the Main menu > More arrow > Registration.

The new code will be linked to the same user and projects, so nothing needs to change at the project level. Just enter your new code in the Registration Information dialog, and you can resume working.
